Stories in Real Time
The new album, Stories in Real Time, has been playing on radio stations around the country, everywhere from Tampa to Burlington, VT to Tucson to Jackson, MS. We've gotten some nice reviews (Hartford Courant and Jazz Observer) and made a few top-ten lists, including Bill King of e-jazzradio. Thanks to all of you who have been spinning the CD! And thanks to everyone for listening and supporting the record!

Herskovits: At the Heart of Blackness
The film Herskovits: At the Heart of Blackness (for which I co-wrote the score) is seeing some serious action in the coming weeks. It has won the American Historical Association's prestigious John O'Connor Film Award and will be screened at the AHA conference this January in San Diego. The film also has its broadcast premiere on Independent Lens in February. See Performances for information on these and other related events.
